Default Remus Backboxes on GSi twin Exhaust

So I tried to fit my "Direct replacement" remus backboxes tonight. Seems the left side backbox's pipe is far too big for the y-piece pipe on that side. The right fits fine.

Has anyone had this issue? It can't be clamped small enough so am I forced to go and get a reducer made up at an exhaust store?

Why can't anything be simple with this damn car.

I fitted the Remus backboxes to my GSi last year. They are direct replacements however the left one comes boxed with a collar piece which you fit over the original Y piece. The Remus backbox then slips over this and fits like a glove! HTH

Well got one made up for free from a local exhaust shop. Even threw in some clamps!

However, not very happy. It sounds quieter than stock, which is very surprising.
I'll leave it for a couple of weeks and see if it grows on me. Otherwise I'll be selling it, since its the only set in W.A I should make a tidy profit, although thats not the aim.

    Heres with remus:

    Heres with stock exhaust:

No different if you ask me.

I didn't want a loud exhaust that's why I bought the Remus, but the exhaust note on mine is defitintely deeper with the Remus than with stock - plus they look so much better and are cheaper to buy than the stock ones!
