    Default Shaking/vibrating chassis a

    Hey,

    I drive a 2006 model C GTS, and i have te following problems. From the start that i bought the car it shakes/vibrates in the chassis. It has a IDS Sports chassis.

    The dealer dit the following things;

    Replace front tyres (michelin pilot 215-50-17 )
    Re-balance weels (6 times allready)
    Allingment of car

    But nothing helps, they checkt all the chassis and the suspension.

    Also i had the following sybol's in my display, dealer say's he can't find anything...

    One is the sign of a traction control, the other is a small shock whit a !.
    Both signs go out when i restard the car, but it worry's me.

    Any one an idea?

    Sounds like your dealer needs a kick.

    Because you have the IDS suspension the ecu can electronicly adjust the shocks. Thats a fault light telling you there is a problem.

    I think they are tring to .... me. The warrenty stops over 6 weeks, and the shocks kost arround €1600 to replace for 4 pieces. But they say there's no faulth code's in ECU. First let them replace all the CV's on axle, An idea about costs?

    can you remove IDS monitoring from ecu?

    Then get Bilstein B8 at half the price + some nice eibach springs to boot.

    thats what i'd do.....I'd be speaking to someone with Tech2 to see whats possible

    Yes but driving orginal is nicer, no fault codes and troubles, also i still have warrenty let them solve it and pay it! And wi'll get a second opinion somewhere.

    Well the fauld code of the shock and traction control whas fixed, it whas a calibration error in steeringwheel possition sensor. The shaking is still not solved, the dealer refuses to replace CV's because the shudder doesn't go when you apply clutch, they say that way its proved that it isnt in the joint's/axles...
