vectra c stalk problems (not working)

hi i have just brought a vectra c and silly me i didnt test the stalks the trip computer dont seem to work when i push the side button nothing seems to change on the dash or screen above the stereo. New stalk perhaps i have checked fuses and they seem to be all good the wipers work ok just the 3 buttons what dont doing my head as it could be summit so so simple any ideas and if any one lives or any where near derby who has same stalks could you get in touch..

sorry still pretty new to this site yes already posted about this issue got cruise control to work tho

try takin the stalk out and cleaning the connections, search the how2 for the removel of stalk

Nice one thats a bonus, the cruise control is tempramental at the best of times on them.

If it helps if you make a new post in the topic you've got going it will bump it up to the top of the list so that people will read it again and you may get more ideas.

yeah i have already a paper clip apparently not tryed it yet tho i need some one who lives near where i do so could perhaps swap to see what happens then i would no if stalk was at fault

On my wifes Siggy if you have not used the footbrake since you started up then cruise control will not operate also the green light to indicate its activated is in the main dial ares where the speeds is not in central display

Keep your foot well away from the clutch and brake pedals when turning the cc on. The switch on the clutch pedal is very sensative.
Have you tried removing and replacing the wiper stalk to see that gets the bc buttons to work?
