    Default Swapping to an NCDC2013

    Evening all.

My sat-nav does my head in with the wires just trailing over the dash so I thought about fitting an NCDC2013 headunit. I was just wondering if these were plug and play if you have the GID display as standard? I'm happy to stick with the orange and black screen, not bothered about changing to the colour one.

    Cheers.

Should also add to this my car is an 03 plate, so half-CAN.

I have done, I was under the impression that was only required if you were swapping to the colour screen? I'll go and have another read.

If your cat wasn't setup for a navi then you will still need to do the how to plus you will need a NCDC and matching screen

From the how2 for fitting the NCDC.. you only can save out the wires that goes to the 12 pin plug..

but your screen will likely also need changing to a type that approves the satnav.

well i actually like quite more than the portable.. because its OEM.. and more precise that the portable..

Yes you dont have postcode entry.. and you can add your own poi and no 3d route.. but if you dont know where you are going anyway.. a satnav realy can help you (im just thinking of all those ghost drivers on the motorways)
