    Default Engine Temp.....

    Hi All,

My 1.9 150 CDTI used to run between 80-90 on the dial. It now wont get above 80 even before cold weather started. Any ideas please?

Nope, won't harm the engine, fuel economy might suffer as engine not getting to temp, but tbh they ain't that bad to change, a little bit more fiddly on 120 models.

Mine is seriously struggling to get above 80c now... I have to drive it hard to get it there. If you have the heaters on anything above fan 1 then no hope!

Stat stuck open?! Or is this just a very cool running engine?! Late 2008 CDTi 150...

I've changed the thermostat about a year ago for the same reasons, temp guage was below 80 deg most of the time, and was very good (around 88 deg) until about 1 month ago when it started to drop at around 80 again... are they only supposed to last for 12 months?! does anyone know of a good thermostat manufacturer/brand?
