    Default Winter & Washer Jets

What's the answer? I have 50% super-concentrated fluid in the washer bottle, but still i get no spray. I have put de-icer on the jets, hot water on the piping and the washer bottle but to no avail. Sometimes the pump can't even be heard running.

Very frustrating when i get as prepared as i can for winter, but still end up with a squirty bottle in the car that i have to spray the screen with as and when i can.

    Any tips please?

    Cheers
    Paul.

You need the heat from the engine to thaw the pipes ot and allow the concentrate to circulate as most likely the bottom of the bottle is frozen and the small bore pipes too

Still no luck there i'm afraid as i did 150 miles last night(ok it was -6) and not even a dribble from the jets front or rear.

I'm guessing i'm stuffed due to the temps

Get yourself some Comma Xstream it protects down to -60 and I have never had it freeze using it 1:3. Also took the insignia wassher jets off as the ice up quite quickly and put some heated ones in their place. No issues so far

    Comma Xstream 3 For 2

Sounds more like there blocked mate not frozen. Over time you get gunk in the bottom of the bottle from additives. I only use water and when its very cold Halfords pre mixed stuff.

You could fit the heated washer jets, but odds on you need to flush the whole system out.

That was the ONLY advantage i had owning the TDCI as it had heated jets.

Oh right, it's difficult to tell what's going on as the max temp today here is around -2. If it gets above freezing and still no joy i'll do the flush as you say cheers.
