    yes its more common than you think!, pump / cambelt gear is known to crack, slack in the cambelt is usually down to a failed water pump or tensioner!, common around 60k +.

    If the pistons have hit the valves you maybe lucky as the 150 'should' just pop the cam followers!, & I'll repeat Should!, . Idon't think there's been much or any feedback from people regarding this as actual fact but someone may enlighten us no doubt.

    Mine had the water pump seize and the pistons hit the valves.

    All it did was pop off 4 cam followers.

    Followers replaced and new water pump/cambelt kit etc and all was fine (All before I bought it with receipts to show work done)
