    Default Heater problem, help please

    Hi was looking for some help , my heater in my vectra c is playing up you can have it on full blast or not at all ,highly annoying as my kids are freezin their little butts off in this weather any ideas what it could be ?
    on setting 1,2,3 it does not come on all

    is this a common vectra thingy ?

    Its the resistor mate. In beside the heater blower behind the glove box. Not a major job to change but bit fiddly! It will be because the drain is blocked under the plastic panel where the wipers are and water is coming in. Footwell probably wet also? Make sure change pollen filter at same as it will probably be soaked too. Here is the link, not sure but reckon there should be a how2 on here

    there is a cheaper fix than that you can just change the thermal fuse its 79p from maplin RS23A

    thanks guys will look in to this ,need to get it sorted asap .i looked online in maplins couldnt see that product code ,but i will visit the store and order from the catalogue .

    went to maplins and bought this ... now where do i put the poxy thing . no problem taking the glovebox out .

    After i saw the picture of the resistor pack i was thinking the same do you know what resistence that is and cost?

    i got the thermal fuse from mapins 69p 240 looks easy enough fix im going to have a go will post the results ..

    all you do is solder it on where the old one is remove glove box low right looking at it you push it forward and it comes off slots and remove
