Have a 57 Elite Estate will I need to enter radio code in if I fit a hands free kit?
Will I also need the SOT122s lead so steering wheels controls still work?

Which hands free kit are you looking to install?

If its a parrot, then the SOT122s is what you want. With parrot, you wont have steering wheel controls, the SOT lead will just interface between the Parrot and CD70 as the parrot uses its own amp to pump out to the speakers.

If you want steering wheel controls, you will need the UNIKA box, but from what i have read its more hassle that its worth. and no dont need any codes to make it work.

    Cheers M8,
Not looking for Telephone Controls to work on Steering Wheel just the normal Sat-Nav Radio and BC functions.
I'm Looking at the Bury CC9060 Bluetooth, I have the portable Bury Bluetooth at the moment and the Speech Dialing is very good.
I fitted parrot to wife's Siggy no problems and trip computer etc still all work OK

Should still all work... in a similar way to your wifes siggy.

main difference will be is that you will need the interface cable for a Quadlock connector, where as the missus car will have been ISO.

    Hi Guys,

With ref to the above, i am going to do the same but the question about the code does not seem to have been answered in this thread

If i disconnect the CD70 Unit whilst connecting the parrot will i need to re-enter a code or is it just coded to my car and will work as soon as i reconnect as i can't find a Key Code Card in with my manuals ect.

    Your assistance would be appreciated,

If its working now, then there should be no reason that you will need a keycode once you have unplugged it and installed the SOT122s for the Parrot kit.

I have unplugged mine on numerous occasions and never needed to enter an sort of key code.

    Hope this helps mate
