    Default Torque steer?

When I put my foot down, at around 2000 revs when things start shifting, the steering really wants to go one way or the other. It can be handled by a strong grip, but it's not ideal.

Is this normal behaviour for the 1.9 CDTi 150, or are there things that can be done to prevent it? The steering is definitely lighter than my previous car (A3), which is not necessarily a bad thing, but I would prefer this not to happen.

What tyres do you have on the front and what mileage have they done?

Might help us answer your query.

As it turns out, the tyres are all different, car is new and I'm intending on changing the wheels / tyres ASAP so I didn't take too much notice of them when I bought it. So long as it had some and they weren't falling apart.

    Front right: Toyo 215/50 ZR17 91Y

No idea how many miles they've done. You think that could be making a substantial difference? I checked the pressures yesterday and they're all at 33psi now (some were a bit higher), did improve things a bit, but it's still noticeable.

People are getting the wrong end of the stick. It's not a matter of 'liking it' or not, it's just something that happens, something that is manageable and not a major problem, but would be nicer if it was to a lesser extent. I'd rather have the extra power than not.

I'm asking whether it's normal behaviour, this is the first car I've owned that has a little bit of power behind it.

I think you answered your question. Matched tyres will certainly make a difference. Also I think its illegal to have two different wheels on. They have to be matched on a drive axle I believe.....

Mine used to alot when I had my box on, once you replace tyres on front to matching, it should tone it down a little
