Default Lights flashing, won't turn over.

Hi folks just changed the tie rod on passenger side and went to turn car around but car won't start, When i turn ignition all the lights in the dash flash can hear a clicking but there is no turning over of the engine. Have tried bump start, same. have just disconected minus from battery to see if that helps.

any ideas what this could be, never had a problem starting with it before today, had it for 6 months..

Petrol X18xe. Thanks Guys, urgently need this sorted.

Sounds like the starter is sticking, or the battery has not enough charge to turn it over. Is the clicking a fast tick tick tick sound?

Sounds like battery to me. The clicking noise you will be hearing if the solenoid for the starter motor opening and closing because there is not enough power to turn the starter over. Its amazing how a few sub zero mornings can knock ten bells out of a dodgy battery. When you get it started run the multi meter over the battery, if your getting 13.5-14.4v you can rule out the alternator.

Panic over lads (untill tommorrow morning at least) gave it a good charge, stuck it back on the car started first time, thankfully. Will run the multimeter over it tommorrow if/when it starts and see how we get on. Man its amazing how much it drains the life out you when you have no car even for a few hours lol.

    Cheers
