More than likely you would have heard or even felt the valves hitting the tops of the pistons. See if you can remove the cambelt cover and look to see if tit has become "slack" or turn the engine over and see if the belt rotates.
the batterie wernt charged enought
when it broke down ther was no bang or any noise as a fact it just seemed like it had run out of petrol
At least you know the cambelt is ok now.
is ther any chance of the fuelpump not working or is that just one of the thousands of possabilities
not to mention my car has done 68000 miles and ther motorway miles
and would really like to get this sorted as the car was on the market
when my cambelt went on my cavalier, it was just like i'd run out of petrol, it just stopped, turned over ok, lucky no damage, replaced it and off i went
NB if it hadn't of snapped, i'd of never met my wife, I was supposed to be going out in Mk that, but without my car, i couldn't go, so went out in dunstable and as they say, the rest is history
