f40 Gearbox removal help wanted

well started the repairs on the 1.9 cdti sri , up to now have replaced all the shock's, apart from front passengerside, have taken caliper off & wheel hub & driveshaft,so now ready to get the f40 gearbox out ,so any advice on the procedure from somebody who has done this themselves would be welcomed, I asume I will have to drop the sub frame on passenger side,is there anything else I should do/need to remove or undo?

basically it is just the subframe now, but sure you have drained the oil from it first and disconnected the linkage on top etc.. Its a heavy lump as you can imagine so take care or it will catch you out..

Why are you looking to remove it btw?

need to replace mass flywheel & poss clutch noisey & clunking when selecting gears + vibration tho wheel & what seems like thewhole car

hi, steve did you use the special tool for the sac clutch ? my friend ho is a tech at toyota tels me you dont need the thool if you replace flywheel disc and clutchplate however as far i can reed on the net it is needed and yes i am next with a faulty duall mass grts,d
