    confused Light switch trouble

    im trying to remove the light switch knob from my 2005 vectra sri.the instructions i was given were turn knob to 0 push firmly and turn clockwise and the switch should release only the switch seems to have slid deeper in and is now stuck in this position please help!!!!!!

    Brute force channeled through your finger tips.
    Or remove the lower dash trim. Or it might be easier to remove the silver/wood strip above the switch then the air vent, you might be able to push it from behind.

    does the silver strip just pop out

    Take the side cover off the end of the dashboard, the bit you cant see when the door is closed, between the dashboard and the door. You will be able to see the back of the light switch through the holes. Take a screwdriver and place through one of the holes and on to the back of the switch, now while turning the knob on the light switch push from behind with the screwdriver and it will come out.
