    Default should i inform insurance?

My car has been modified yes, however no more really than what a standard XP would change.

All other mods are just a little paint or some minor interior changes etc, well alot of minor changes

But just got me pondering should the insurance be informed of all of these changes? its bad enough trying to get through to them as it is, and getting them to understand english, never mind explaining modifications

yes i know i should really let them know about the tuning box, but other than that, could any of these mods (seen in my signature) cause an issue with insurance?

The simple answer is yes, all mods should be declared.

Could you afford for a loss adjuster to refuse your claim and you have to find the money for a new car. If you can don't tell them (and lucky you!) if not tell them your mods.

nothing on the interior is major tbh just the head unit, so would it be easyer to call up and state that an aftermarket stereo, wheels and an XP have been fitted?

Declare everything, it's really not worth the risk, and especially declare your tuning box. Also next time you are due for renewal go for one of the British based brokers rather than the cheap insurance guys.

Adrian Flux, Chris Knott and Sky insurance are all british based meaning that your mods are easy to declare

So an XP pack doesnt need to be declared ? Is this because the car could have had it fitted from new anyway ?

    Thumbs up

I let "Admiral multi-car" know i had lowered the suspension all round on my vec, they told me it would cost me a extra £6.80p on my premium. Its not worth the risk m8, ["with all that insurance small print and b***s**t to stitch you up with"] tell them how ever small or big the mods. are......
