    Default Snow??

Hi all, drive a 57 plate vectra which has the 19's on last year in the snow the car was really poor in the snow for pulling away. The tyres were average since then I have replaced tyres and the snow has come back this year jus waiting to see what it's like. WhT experiences hav you had with the 19's on???

It's normally the tyre width not diameter that causes problems. Along with the rubber compound.

i'm on standard 16s, but my first winter with traction control, do you have to drive any differently, or will i have difficulty pulling away at junctions?

Are you sure you have TC as most facelifts don't have it at all unless its a v6 or been added as an option when new.

Still got standard 17's, but in 40 years of cars and motorbikes, never really had any probs in any weather - driving to suit the conditions and my abilities. Never used winter or all weather tyres, just common sense.
