Default Shell drivers club reward card

    Hi All,

Today i got my quarterly statement for my reward card with Shell, according to that I bought over 1100 ltrs of fuel for £1300+ Guess what my 'REWARD' was? £5.50 off when I buy at least another 20 ltrs! or £6 if I buy there more expense stuff! To think the times I have drove past other garages because I have this stupid card! I feel like telling Mr Shell what to do with his £5.50!

Does anyone know what other garages do? Are all these so called rewards a total con?

    Cheers!

I gave up with mine, they are aimed at company car drivers, their the only ones that spend enough to get enough back, just go to Tesco, save their club card points, you'll get an awful lot more for your money.

Tescos! Although they are now giving away 1 point for every £2 where as it used to be 1 point for £1 spent on fuel

There was a case of contamination, but it was not the supermarkets fault. In a given geographical area all filling stations sell exactly the same deisel, unleaded etc, so the whol business of branded fuel being better is BS. My bosses' less well educated older brother drives a fuel tanker and delivers fuel to all 'brands' of filling station in the Bangor are of County Down. It all comes from the same source. My advice is to always go the cheapest filling station in your area (not always supermarkets). Doing anything else jsut encourages profiteering by the filling station owners. Really ****es me off here in N.Irealnd seeing people using Maxol filling stations. They are real rip off merchants. I can not understand why people use them, when often there is another garage within sight selling the fuel 2p a litre cheaper.
