Warped brake disks, myth?

Can't agree, personally. Fords used to be notorious for disk warping, especially early Mondeos. My Mitsubishi Galant had the same trouble, and that was definitely warping, as the dealer showed me one set up on the lathe for skimming and there was no pad material on it. Funny how Ford replaced the disks, but Mitsubishi skimmed 'em.........

I know someone who went to view an old Toyota Corolla for his wife, advertised as having ABS... He was looking for something under £800 to use for 6 months or so.

When he got there and look at the car, he had to point out to the seller that didnt have ABS, just badly warped discs lol

I have always thought they warp too, made interesting reading though. Personally I have never set one up and put a DTI on it to find out if they are warped or not.

I have to admit it made me think.
