    Default ECU software version

Can anyone tell me the latest software version to use on a 1.9cdti 150, its a 56 plate Vectra, or at least what the year odf the software release is, I mine is 2004 which is probably the original release, is there a later map of the engine management programme?

    Thanks all

Im still on my original software from new'ish, I had 1 update roughly 12/18 months from new (04 rg), if the cars running ok i wouldn't worry, i only had mine in because it had a rare steering fault that was very very unknown within vx! (it tried to throw itself off the road, elec steering pump threw a mega wobbly), if it aint broke don't fix it kinda thing would be my advise!, there wouldn't be any real need for an update unless you were having issues.

it just seems a bit hesitant when accellerating, EGr clean swirl flaps working (cyl 4 a bit worn but otherwise ok) and no other faults showing. my bro in law has an elite estate with same engine and it seemsa lot nippier than mine.

Try cleaning the boost sensor & throttle body!, when doing the throttle body check the circuit board for oil ingress & the solder joints, there will be a guide for these in the 'how 2' section.
