Right, in that case, your CID has come from a vehicle without ECC.

It needs to be programmed via the variance coding to have the ECC made "Present"
Do you have the original audio pass code for your CD70 and CID, as I have recently found that this is indeed sometimes needed before you can program anything.

It will need tech 2, or Op-Com or Vaux-Com programming to set up the ECC within all the relevant modules...

this is an interesting on as mine suffers this prob, I just got used to it doing this occasionally.... I have opcom so may have a tinker with it tomorrow, if no joy will need to get a Tech2 meet with somebody at some point..

btw what would ECC stand for?

    ECC =

    Electronic
    Climate
    Control

    as opposed to basic air-conditioning

The August 2010 Op-com update will certainly sort this

It works on mine... it also now programs my UEC (Underhood Electrical Centre) that was previously un-programmable.

the dealers with tech2 could change all settings without the code on my screen. but could not pair it as they couldt remove the old as i didnt know it..

Its not a option to do so with op-com as that want the code just as you enter to the settings.

Maybe in Denmark...they can do this

However MOST UK dealers have little idea about programming with Tech 2... at least in my experience they do.
There is the odd one that is good with Tech 2, but not many...

Again, I think this is in the Variance configuration... depends on which module you are programming, as to whether you need the audio pass code or not (for Op-com).
I've had no personal experience with Tech 2, so I cannot advise on that.

Now I got my cd70 and ECC working together. It's as easy as in that youtube video. My dealer needed car security code but not radio code. Now ECC is working and also Opel animated logo (there was Vauxhal logo)

i recently bought a 52 plate vauxhall vectra and the dial for adjusting the heatings strength
has been pulled off it turns all the way around (is this supposed to happen) and the blower
is not working althougth when i turn on the quick clear windscreen it soon heats up the car so cannot be a blower problem but i would like this fixing as it is quite inconveinint is it a case of replaceing the control dials or something else any ideas?
