    Default CD70 & Heater Control

Just a daft question .I have just put my CD70 and CID in the car (took out CD70 with GID)and all was working well untill yesterday.I noticed no power to my climate control and it didnt illuminate with the rest of the dash. This was working when I set off and has done this a couple of times today. It either works or doesnt.I have read all the heater issues and I have none of the issue with water resitors half working on no2 etc. Are the CD70 harness and the climate control panel linked. Could I have disturbed something when fitting the CD70 and colour screen.Turning the ignition off for 10 odd minutes usually rectifys the problem.I have spoke with my father in law who owened the the car from new and he has never had any issues.
    Any ideas fellas.

I would suggest that the DIS (display) has not been programmed in the variance coding to show that the heating system is via ECC.

You may need to also program the mid speed CAN of the DIS to also show the ECC as "present".

The Audio pass code will not be required for anything that does not involve the immobiliser or security settings.

On odd occasions, you may need to change the code index... but the exact number configuration illudes me at the moment..

The options are dependent upon programing system

    Diesel or petrol
    With / without add-on heater
With / without Ice Crystal warning
    With without Board computer.

and obviously specific vehicle... Vectra-C, Astra-H, Zafira-B and so on.
    PM sent per your query..

Cheers for all that fella. Also the PM you sent was blank. So basically I need a tech 2 session to get the ecc linked to the screen. Is this something a vauxhall tech can do or is it going to hard work explaining it all. Also I have freind with a snap on diagnostic computer will that be able to sort it.
Also the car is a Signum,3ltrV6 diesel Elite and it had everything through the screen sat nav monochromatic display if that helps.

PM re-sent... for some reason it was initially blank..
I then re-sent it, but it came back to me...

PM has now been re-forwarded, and appears to be correct

Have you changed your display, or any other modules recently ?

Or have you done anything to the car recently ?

It will help with choosing the best diagnosis
