Hi, I posted some information about Diabetes a few days ago (all of it factually correct). Came back to the thread earlier to discover a barrage of abuse. Not the first time negative comments have been posted about me. Rather fed up by this so here goes I thought that I would post a poll asking for people to vote for me to either stay - accepting that I do and will continue to post my opinions even if they are not the most popular, but that I do not set out to maliciously attack anyone, or for me to stop posting. If the latter is the majority opinion, I will no longer post on the forum.

Hmmmm, I think you could do with doing the 'Diversity' training my employer has just insisted on me doing

I just read through the thread and didnt see a barrage of abuse. A couple of people disagreed with what you were saying. Just relax. If you want to stay then stay. Or if you want to leave then leave. But i wouldnt be leaving a forum just because someone called me a grim reaper

Everyone it entitled to their opinion, that fact that yours doesn't agree with most doesn't make it wrong. If you want to stay, stay but you can't expect to have an opinion that people don't agree with and not expect some to reply, all be it some don't do it in the correct manner at times!

My my you must have had a sheltered life if you think thats a barrage of abuse, my 11 year old would have you in tears if you upset him, now grow up be a big boy and stop being paranoid or stop chasing complements if you want notoriety invent something dont waste your time looking for a pat on the back ................................

rememebrer this is a public forum and EVERYONE - (yep that all of you) are entitled to your own very individual opinion.

no one on here is an expert at life .... as every day we all learn something new its how we learn from our experiences that make us different

now how i read a post and how the next person reads and interprets it may be completely different - and some pople do take it all a little too personally = if you feel there is a grievence thats what the little warning triangle on each and every post is for....
to report any posts that you feel are unfair /rude/trolling/spam/liableous etc the list goes on

we the Mods do try our best and to be fair if the "banter" from our point of view gets out of hand then we will step in - but if you give people the oppertunity then you will no doubt invite all sorts of comments

if your interpretation of anothers post is that its a barrage of abuse - others may not feel the same = but it is a free country and the ultimate decision as to wether you feel you should stay or go is yours and not really something that i would rely on a "public vote" for.

If you are going to twist things round then I know what my answer would be. It is with regards to an earlier reply to your thread, someone only quoted something which was said to them, and are only passing it on.

You asked a question and people are only answering.

I can see a mod or admin deleting this poll anyway.

Btw keep posting as it is a forum for you to express your views like everyone else, just not daft questions like this.
