Default Where are the Glowplugs on 1.9 120

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of where the glowplugs are on the 1.9 120??

Mine is getting more difficult to start in the mornings. Might be worth replacing them. But I cannot find them anywhere.

this is the 150 but you should get some idea from this. the 150 are 9mm, be carefull! do
not drop the socket all the way down over the plug, just hold it over the nut, if you do this it will stop the socket binding against the head & possibility of 'snapping' the plug off. this has been done many times!.

Thanks for the pic but I have heard they are in a completely different place on the 120s.

Yes they are. look down the back of the engine under the egr area. they are little pigs to get at and on the 120 they are normally 10mm socket size and alot shorter than the 150's.
I have heard tell, that they are easier to get at if you remove the egr and a small fuel block near to cylinder numbers 1 and 2.

Still not found them. But I have not had chance to look in the daytime.

SInce posting though my car is now showing:

P0380 - Glow Device General Error

I assume its definitely time to replace the plugs then??

Right I've found em. They really are difficult to get at. They are under the inlet manifold, quite a way down too.

When its daylight I'll take a pic so people know where they are.

Anyhow, I don't fancy doing it myself. Need to book it in somewhere.

But with regards to the error I know get:

P0380 - Glow Device General Error

Its comes on whenever I start the engine and goes out after a mile.

Having a search it shows it could be one of the following:

    Glow plugs
    Glow plug relay
    Glow plug fuse
    Battery on its way out

Also the Glow plug wiring harness catching on the gearbox???

The car still starts but not as good as it used to be.
Also, I am not 100% certain the battery/alternator are ok (both are just over a year old). Several garages have checked the battery and alternator and say its ok. But the battery light came on a couple of times over the last two weeks when it was really cold. The alternator has always thrown a "P0621-01 Generator lamp "L" control circuit malfunction" message.

Where do people reckon I should start to fix this?
Or since the car still starts should I ignore it 'till it gets worse?

Check the fuse and check the plugs.

Can you get to the electrical connection on the plug? If you can put a meter on the top and check the resistance between the glow plug and an earth (Should be hardly any resistance (About 5 Ohms is normal))

I'll give it a go. How do the connectors come off the plugs? Just pull them? Or do you have to press a tab?

Which Fue am I looking for. I've had a look in the manual and there is nothing listed for the Glow plugs/relay.

    Cheers

OK I tried to get at the glow plugs but can't. Not without removing the EGR and Fuel thingy.

Here are a few pics of where the Glow Plugs are on the 1.9 CDTi 120.
The silver item I have circled in the first pic is the Glow Circuit Relay.
