After some help please chaps -
Got some LED Strip lights for the boot, but don't know which wire is positive There's two wires coming from the end of the strips, one is silver, the other bronze. Am I right in thinking the silver is positive?
Thanks

Go for it - if the LED's don't light up, simply reverse the connections and all should be well.
Thanks for that, will have a bash!
another way is to first test on the battery
Hadn't thought of that, cheers
You would have to test anyway.. as every set i've had led wise, the gold is the earth in about 70%
Cheers. I assumed that the wires would be standard - brown/bronze for earth, other colour for live. First time I've got LEDs like this, so wanted to make sure. I was planning on using speaker wire to connect them to the boot light wire. This will be sufficient won't it? They're 48cm strip LEDs:

Got those in my boot... and i just use normal grade black/red speaker wire for all my LED's i've done. never had issues...
This is what i did...

Top stuff, will have a go at them tomorrow - I know it's been said, but I really can't believe how pitiful the light is in the boot. They might as well not bothered.
