    Default tuning the z32se.....above basics

first of all i would like to say hello all, i dont as of yet own a vectra however it is the #1 priority come new year once i have sorted my money out. sinse being young i have only been a petrol head and the one thing i have craved for years is a v6, now im old enough to drive, run and ensure one im determined to have one and my choice is to have a C GSI not just for the engine but ive grown bored of ther previous 90's generation of cars after driving a mk3 astra for 4years and vec b calibra or cavalier do not take my fancy, anyways to the point....

im quite well clued up about how things work and tuning, v6 more than most and im fully aware that people will be sayin induction, catback, remap etc, yes i know how to get power from an engine but my primary concern is coping with it.

i dont know much about the (i believe) f35 gearbox, nor the off the shelf uprated items i can fit in terms of transmission.

working for peugeot i know dual mass fly wheels all too well and i cant help but think that this along with a standard clutch wont like 240-250bhp too much.

is there anyway round this problem or is there any uprated items available on the market as up to now i havent been able to find any. any information available would be very much appreciated. and from now on will keep the paragraphs smaller too lol thanks

    Jasper

I and a few others on here have figures close to that and i personally havent had any problems as of yet but im running the auto box. Hagga has a manual with around 240bhp. But neither of us have been at them figures for a long ammount of time yet.

There isnt many parts openly available for the gsi so to get huge performance wont be too easy or cheap.

Brilliant car though imo and worth every penny, i love mine, just depends what ya want from it and how far you want to take it i suppose

well would like to be able to use all aspects of the car to be honest, the size and comfert for travelling and to carry passengers, space to transport dog, looks great which id take great pride in upkeeping, and every now and then a weekend bruising. not to mention the marvolous sound track. hoping to knock a second off the 0-60 and run a quarter easily in 14's

Ye couldnt agree more mate and you wont be disapointed. Ive owned my gsi for 2 year now and it was a toss up of either the gsi or the st220 at the time. Choose the GSi simply because i prefered the looks and never looked back!

Would be interesting to see if you can get to them sort of figures but without big weight reduction i think you'd need in excess of 300bhp, but as you said "above basics" so goodluck mate and keep us posted.
