Last time I was there (1987) there was a hotel on the roundabout off the M40, top of the hill past the Sports Centre if that's any help.

There's only really one decent hotel IMO in Wycombe and that's the Holiday Inn and yes, it's located at J4 of the M40.

Crendon Street is then less than a 5 minute cab ride from the hotel.

Alternatively, as Crendon Street is next to Wycombe train station, catch a train from Heathrow to Wycombe which involves tube and mainline trains and then cab to Hoilday Inn on arrival. Or, stay localish to Heathrow and then train to Wycombe and back to Heathrow when you've finished.

From looking on the net, it seems that coach services from Heathrow to Wycombe are almost non existant

    HTH

Edit - there's also the Premier Inn at J3 M40, about 10 mins by cab to Crendon Street. But looking at the prices mid week for the Premier, it's on par if not more than the Holiday Inn.
