Default heated seat switches? also electric seat adjust questions?

hi all i bought a full leather interiour today for my signum, not fitted it yet, my questions are....

1... i just plugged the heated seat buttons in to the holes (interiour not fitted yet) ether side of the cd player and when i turn the lights on they dont light up?...is this normal?

2... my current half leateher is manual adjust, the leather i just bought is electrical adjust....when i fit the new seat is it just a case of unplug the big purple block connecter and plug the new seat connecter in and it will adjust?

    cheers thanks guys

    all help will be apprecited

Try get a hold on plasma.. also think to remember that some just added constant voltage to the seat so it was then working.

thats what i was thinking, if i just run + and - wires to the seat connecter just to get the up/down and back/forward workin as im not bothered about the heated or memory bit
