    Default 1.9 cdti 150

Hi, I am looking to get a 1.9 cdti sri 150 and getting rid of my long trusted 2.5 sri, I have test driven and I am in love much like I was 6 years ago with my vec b, I have read a few posts on here about the inlet manifold and how the swirl valves go wrong and its replaced with 55210201 - G8C INTAKE MANIFOLD which is modified.
Has vaux modified the problem with the car in production and if so at which year?
The reason I am asking is I would rather buy one newer without the problem rather than getting one with the prospect of failure.

They have used the modified inlet in production, unsure which year. I remember reading it was around 2007. I think someone will know the chassis/enigne numbers. I came from a 2.5, love the 1.9 150. Dont let people put you off lol !! Await the neg posts ! haha

I have only test driven one 1.9 so far and after a 5 mile drive I wanted one I did not by that one because the tempature gauge did not work and it was to badly scratched for an 06 car that had only done 43 thou.

Hi Rob,get the latest cdti possible or make sure the cdti you get still has the swirl bar attatched or has had a new inlet manifold,if you find one and it needs a new inlet manifold and actuator,i have a brand new inlet and actuator sitting here,i bought it to go on my previous cdti, but sold it before putting it on there, and my recent cdti has all ready had a replacement inlet manifold.
Either way you won't be disapointed if you get a vectra cdti,i wasn't

Get another petrol, fuel economy doesnt seem to be an issue as you have a v6 petrol at the mo, youll be bankrupt if you own a 1.9!! Flywheel, inlet manifold, alternator, EGR valve once a week, then the water pump will seize up and chuck the cambelt off, oh and lets not forget the thermostat wont work and you will freeze to death as its now winter.

When I first got my V6 I did the water pump, aux belt, tensioners, cam belt, blanked off ERG valve and fitted K&N with cold air intake, I have done a few other mods after that and its been a very reliable car but as its 10 years old I fancied a new one and I heard the 1.9, 150 was a good car to go for.
