    Default Bumper repair

You may remember that I posted a thread telling how some sum bag had damaged the back bumper of my Vectra in the car park at M&S. Well on Thursday I managed to get to the paint shop. I have been quoted £60-£120 depending on how well they can match the paint (ie a really good match just needs the damaged area sprayed at £60, less well means the complete bumper at £120). It is booked in for Tuesday of next week, I will probably just get them to respray the whole bumper regardless.

On my way back from GalwayI stopped at Sprucefield shopping centre (Lisburn) and when I came out an idiot had parked behind my car and was actually touching my tow bar! He was sitting in his car when I arrived back, and looked completely stupid when I pointed this out. He had not even realised. No damage was done, but what got me was I had parked in a far corner of the car park, dozens of empty spaces all around me, and yet this idiot had tried to park inside my exhaust pipe!

I've found with silver cars that the paint can be a pain to colour match so yeah i'd just get the whole bumper done tbh

I had a similar bump in mine and they matched it really well, couldn't see it when it was finished and he only sprayed the damaged bit.

AH! I can sympathise on this, Black Box polished the car on Saturday then put on the new silicone turbo hoses. Pop into tesco's and then to Blockbuster, following day the Mrs points out some scummers done the same to mine, scratch looks almost identical! Very Very frustrating. Good to know that it's about £60 to retouch area affected, Thanks

You're not having much luck lately. I'll make a note of those costs, though, as what with the two scrapes I put on mine before I fitted the reversing sensors, and the two women's damage the other week, may have to get my complete rear bumper sprayed before I'm happy with it.

Yes I am sure he or she did (this damage was not from the incident mentioned above). Doesn't really show on the photo but at one point the damage is a bit more than paint deep, and will need filled before repainting.
