been an ex fleet the front end looks like space on a clear night so a front end spray is on the cards after xmas, looking at the state of the rest of it im considering doing the whole lot and flattening it properly. its a disgrace selling cars with peel like this.

I agree wit the others, I was able to do a full correction on my first vectra by hand as the paint was that soft, and it did come back very well, use a very mild compound as well then machine polish after with a cleaner wax as it does do a good job on the micro swirls.

Odd, sure when Messssy did mine he said the VX clearcoat is hard, and the detailing site of CYC said same. Messsy uses the sonus pads but recommended the Chemical Guys hexologic for me, starting out. Also told always start with least abrasive pad and polish, ie Menzerna Final Finish (two different ones, 85 and 101) then move down one grade at a time if it doesn't clear, never harshest first.

I'm going to assume the colour, as well as the year sprayed will affect hardness.

My 03 GSi in Star Silver 2 is very very soft.

Clay bar gets broken out every week from streaks that can't get washed off. And the scratches in the front bar AND bonnet are ridiculous.
