Default Help! Limp home mode after DPF problems

Hi folks. My first journey into Vx and I've got myself a SRI 150 estate with the full VXR kit, ish exhaust, 19' alloys etc. Stunning car and super happy until a week later and a cloud of blue smoke came pouring out the back! A trip to the awesome lads a Vauxalist in Lincoln sorted it with a forced regen to the DPF! Jump in her this morning and it's gone into limp home mode! No dash light? No power! I had a quick drive and rev'd as hard as it'll go and the dash light came on! Turn her off and it's out but still with no power! Any ideas? It's going back to the garage tomorrow and I'm hopping I've not bought a dud! Should say the DPF was at 120% and is now at 70%. I took it for a blap on the A1 and did a forced regen again but if it's not F'd I'll opt for removing it completely. Do you guys have any other ideas what could be wrong with it? Before all this it pulled superb and drove super straight!

    Cheers all!

Oh. I had some fault codes that a mate from kwik fit gave me. He said at the time it was the EMC that was on it's way? Vauxalist said it was more likely due to the DPF?! Dunno. It's a 55plate 2006 with 105k on the clock. Full service history and new oil and filters just in!

I kept having issues with my previous 1.9 cdti and going into limp mode because of the dpf,so i took the insides of the dpf out and the car run better and never went into limp mode because of it again, but it really did smoke when it did a regen again

Turns out to be a split turbo pipe. Quick fix and will be back for the DPF removal in a few weeks! Phewww!

Vauxalist. They are awesome! I can't recommend them enough. Mines going back there for the DPF removal in a few wks. Google them, they are just of Wragby Rd nr the car dealerships and Next, Asda turn off. Ask for Jason.

Update... Well the weathers shocking but I've shelled out £329 for the full works and seemingly all is good. I've not had a good run yet but being stuck in Lincolnshire traffic madness this week it's been up to temp and no smoke and fuel economy has returned! Win win!

Yeah, i'm curious too!! maybe it was dpf software removal and a straight through pipe fitted.

The thing with dpf's is that if any other part of the system is at fault, for example a split turbo hose or malfunctioning egr valve, then the dpf is the first thing to suffer by blocking. Yes, dpf's can be a pain and i am watching the removal and software remap threads with great interest, as i am considering that route myself.

Had my dpf removed by me bashed I sides out then refitted a d dpf removal software and a remap for 215 and can't recommend it enough for an estate car with roughly 200 bhp a full car travelling at 90mph on the autobahns of course done 400 miles at 90mph and then town journeys with the occasional booting and got 560 miles on a tank I reckon if I done 70 all the way I could get 650 out o a tank
