    Default Modern Day Sierra Cosworth...

Stood chatting with Phil the other night and we agreed my VXR looked a bit like a 'modern day Sierra Cosworth'... just a passing comment (cos of the bonnet vents) but got me thinking as I used to drive a moonstone blue sapphire cossie, and a burgandy 'H' reg 4x4 sapphire cossie as well... they were mental in their day...

Heres a quick crappy phone pic whilst we were talking... so you can see what we were on about....

Why not say it was more like a Lotus Carlton? That was mental too and was ****** rapid to say the least

Pity the Vec never had 4x4 drive though.

    Heres some interesting facts !!

According to the RS Owners Club :-
    http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/car_info/Ser2wdsc.htm

13,140 Rear Wheel Drive Sierra Cosworths were produced between 1988 and 1989 ?? 13,140 in ONE YEAR ??

    Vectra VXR = 1001 produced between 2005 and 2009

    Also...

    0-60 mph
    Sierra Cosworth = 6.1
    Vectra VXR = 6.1

    1/4 mile standing start
    Sierra Cosworth = 14.4
Vectra VXR = 14.3 (my time)

    Average MPG
    Sierra Cosworth = 27.7 mpg
Vectra VXR = 27 mpg (my average)

    So very similar
