Noddy car for a week!!!

The Vec 1.8 (57 plate 44k) has gone in for a new clutch under Network Q warranty, so I have been given something that looks like a Noddy car for a week! I always thought that they gave you a car of equal size to your car. I assume I am wrong???

I will have to leave really early now to get to work in time!! Doh.

2 days they reckon. I cant get back there before they close each day though. I work late, and 20 odd miles away, so its going back next Saturday afternoon

I am going to ask if one of their guys can take my car home, and I will swap it with him in the evening. I doubt I will get away with it though
They are gonna rip me apart tomorrow at work when I pull up in this thing! Ha Ha.

Your thinking about an insurance claim, you normally only get what they have when you get a courtesy car from a garage.

I also thought you got a like for like car with insurance It has more bhp than some 1.2 cars I saw a road test where tester said the car is dangerous, as you can not join a motorway at motorway speeds,,,tosh,,, J16 M6 NORTH, I joined Mway at 75 in third, SAT AT Mway speeds for 110 miles no problem but mpg was low on the Mway, I liked that little noddy car,, good luck with yours.

I remember getting a Daihatsu Cuore, a complete noddy car, as a courtesy car after someone bumped my cavalier sri a few years back. 3 cylinder 900cc but OMG they had got the gearing right for it, it was a flying machine, and im not joking!!!! Took a mate for a run in it, he had a Corolla twin cam, and he could not believe just how quick this thing was either. Often these noddy cars carry a few surprises.

I averaged 50 mpg

The claim from the dealership is in excess of £500, so the Area Engineer needs to examine the car, hence why it takes longer
Some dealerships won't order the parts until the claim is approved, others will proceed assuming it will be approved, and then commence the repair as soon as it has been approved
