Default anyone smoothed the numberplate recess

gunna do this over the winter ready for the show season next year (hopefully)
thinking of doing the bumper myself and getting a body shop to paint? Has anyone done this or no whats entailed in doing this or is it best left to a bodyshop to do?

For something that big I'd get the bodyshop to do it unless you really know what you're doing. If it goes bad it can sink back and you'll have to pull it out and do it again.
