confused Wash wipe - no water

Hi I have just cleaned my filter in the bottom of the screenwash resevior as I was only getting a trickle come through - it was pretty gunked up.
I have reconnected everything and now no water comes out.
I took the pump out again and sat it in a jug of water with pipes and electrics connected and everything worked fine, but as soon as I connect it back to the resevoir, nothing. I can hear the pump working but no water, front or rear.

I have an 04 Signum Elite - 2.2 dti Auto

Any help please - I am cold and frustrated!

Did you also flush out the tank as well? Chances are if you didn't, the filter is blocked again.

the pipes are connected up the correct way arnt they? otherwise all you will be doing is pumping air into the fluid bottle.

Check the simple things first, pipes connected, nothing in the system blocked etc.

How did you work that one out?

All that would happen is that the rear screen would get squirted if you tried squirting the windscreen, and vice versa if you tried squirting the windscreen you'd get fluid out the rear screen nozzle.

All connections work fine when I place the bottom of the pump in a jug or water - both front and rear screens get a good soaking.
The problem is when I put the pump back on the resevoir - no water comes out at all.
Before I cleaned the filter the jets worked but only a trickle came out.

Maybe the gromet is not fully in place, then when squeezing the pump housing and stopping the impeller?
