Get coilovers then youve got all the choice you need!
Personally I like the tyre to just meet the arch. Hard to tell from your pics cause it looks different in both but i'd prob go 35/40mm.

by the looks of it youve got standard springs on the front bud - my sri looked like that indeed the dodgy snapped springs had been replaced with standard height - i put coilovers on and from standard front and sri rear i now have all wheel centres to the arch top level iirc about 32/33 cm (im running standard sri alloys but rolling radius should be the same!) so the drop was approx 60 ish mm front and 40 ish mm rear

looks awesome and rides surprisingly well too! not at all harsh.
