    Default Pre Cat Removal anyone?

Had a new twin exit system fitted and removed cat at same time, and thats given better response, but has anyone also removed the pre cat?

Been advised that it will give 5/10 bhp more removing this and airflow more freely, BUT will it give me any problems with EMl coming on or MOT emissions problems, believe there is a sensor on the pre cat?

Any advice welcome, cars a 05 Vectra cdti SRi 150bhp

I have removed mine it's only a temp sensor in the pre cat all I did was undo the down pipe and flexi removed from the bottom of the pre cat 3 bolts then drilled a big 20mm hole right through the pre cat so it's still in situ but the internals are drilled through so it's got a nice passage for the gasses to flow through it looks standard and the sensor is still in place and I just passed a mot no probs I got 0.7 out of a fail limit of 1.5 for the smoke test well within limits

I'm pretty sure they all do and try are tucked away up next to the turbo you will only see it if you take your undertray off and follow the exhaust up and just before the turbo is your pre cat
