    Default EGR Urgent help

    I've took off EGR valve and I'm trying to get the grey cover off but I've broken one clip and casing starting to crack

    How does it come off and will it matter about clips and cracks ?

    One clip will not matter , like i said you need to slide bits of cardboard under the tabs unless you have some one with you to hold some of the tabs open then slide it off .

    All done bob and omg you couldn't see any moving parts under there it was full if black soot , On phone ATM but will post a picture of it up so you can all see.

    Have to say it feels smoother but to me it feels not as fast in 1st 2nd seems to rev fine but gets to 4000rpm quicker but doesn't feel quicker if you know what I mean

    Did you put some grease on the cam & plunger?

    Mines done 162k lol think it was original EGR as it was stuck solid

    Its like new now Cleaned it with carb cleaner and sprayed loads and loads of WD40 into it.
    I did boost sensor too cleaned this with a soft toothbrush and carb cleaner and took it for a blast, As i said it feels smoother but it feels like its lost power no fault lights on at all so im confused.

    Maybe its all in my head but if i damaged either EGR or Boost sensor then i would surly get a fault code

    i done the same today even broke 1 clip but i never seen an egr valve so blocked up , i took a full jam jar out of it ,the car seems to be starting easier but it looks like 1 of my swirl flaps is gone the rod is there but no flap
