K & N Panel Filter on V6 3.0cdti

I know that it is not recommended to do many modifications to the V6 engine, but I have a K & N panel filter from my vectra that I would like to fit. Would it be ok to fit this, or should I stay with the standard filter.

I fitted one to my 3.2 V6 GSi and the car works fine.
The one additional change while you're at it would be to remove the guide section in the base of the air filter housing (airbox mod) or the same restriction in airflow as with the standard paper element filter will occur.

Providing your old car was not a 2.8 vxr then all other models are compatable
part no k&n 133-2848 is suitable for all other vec,s /sigs.

This is the air filter that I have.

I did the airbox mod on my old vectra so will do the same on the signum. Just wanted to make sure that it would be ok to fit the filter.
