Can you get decent coilovers for about 400 quid?

I was toying with the idea of fitting some new shocks to compliment my eiback springs but the car has always sat too high at the front so I was thinking about a set of coilovers.

Kinda want a decent name (I know i'm asking alot )

400 quid is my budget really as thats roughly the same price as i'd be for decent shocks

Think you could get a set of 'Super sport' ones for £400

Alternatively there are some APEX ones for £454

Otherwise its around £500 for FK ones

I have no idea if any of the above are any good

Cheers mate I was looking at the apex ones, they seem to be the "best name" for that kinda money. Wondering if I should just sheel out the extra for the spax ones

Well the good thing about the coilovers is that I can put the height back up when I need to tow

Just playing devils advocate here bud, will the threads be strong enough on the coilovers to cope with the added weight of the van? If they would be go for it as coilovers would finish your car off perfectly

At the moment i have these (FK AK), now for the money they are perfect for those people that want their car low.
Issues though that i have had have been twanging from the front, knocking from the rear and also catching your sump on even the smallest of speed humps.
There are quite a few people on here that also have these and haven't had the problems i've had.
Soon as i can get my locking wheel nuts removed (key broke and Vauxhall can't get the right one even with a key no) the fronts will be removed as the rears are already off and will be for sale.

Oh on another note, make sure though if you are going to buy make sure they are for your model. When i asked the seller if they would be ok on a GSi i was told yes but i reckon the kit i got was only good enough for 4 cylinder petrol versions.

Hyperhart, have you still got the bolts stuck in? If so, have you tried using easy outs? I have a set if you need to borrow them but bear in mind you will need to get some new locking bolts

There still in there, hippo tried to get one out with an easy out but it snapped.
Just want the b*****s out now so don't care how now.
