Default Can i TOTALLY turn off my CD70?

Hi, have a 2006 56 vectra SRi CDTi 150 Nav with the CD70 Nav fitted, brilliant car, brilliant stereo etc, but............

when i switch off the radio using the power button the radio goes off but the screen stays on showing the range and mpg.

Is there any way i can turn off the screen too?

    Cheers

I have the same setup in my 2006 Sri 1.8 vvt Nav but I have never found an option in the settings to do this. May need a more techy route to do such a thing.

If its possible im sure someone here will know

Just change it to another setting.

I have mine on the SatNav bit so it displays the road we are driving on.

Only way to do that is to turn off your board computer functions via Tech 2.
When you turn of it will then show date, time and temperature.

But then you won't have anything but the stop watch on the BC screen.

    The choice is yours...
You could just hold the power button in for 2 seconds, and this will mute the radio, but have the normal display showing.

You might as well just turn down the volume knob. Far quicker than the 2 secs it takes to mute the stereo.
