    Default Exhaust fitting question

can the exhaust be un-bolted/clipped just after cat?

and is the 2.2 the same bore as 1.9cdti?

    The bore is the same.

I fitted a system directly from a 2.2 onto mine with the pipe work and centre box on it. Fitted straight on.

    Top man thanks

Will I have to cut it after cat? Or if the 2.2 exhaust comes with cat, will it run ok?

    It should do.

I haven't heard of anyone else having any complaints on them? it should run fine.

Mine got detached just after the flexi bit and i have the rest of a 2.2. Worse case you take the cat out and put a straight through in later on. I didnt need to cut anything though!

    woop,

The other option is to cut the current one and use a sleeve to join the new and old ones up.

If my old one don't sell this is probs what ill do with my centre section.

    Vehicle : vectra-c

    Trim : sri

    Engine : cdti

    Year : 2004

    Mileage : 98,000

    Default

2.2 & 2.0 turbo will fit, the 2.0 turbo actually does away with the large heavy silencer just after the cat(not sure if the 2.2 does), it also has no detriment to the tone, its sounds just the same! but the engine breathes easier & exhaust weighs a lot less!.

thats what i am thinking, as i am technically replacing my 2008 exhaust with a 2007, but i suppose i have done 50k so more than likely it will have done less miles lol

hmmmm ill keep my eye out for one, but have seen a 2.2 sri full system, so just a case of bolting on!!

but there is an elite system for £65 cheaper, very tempted to buy that and just put some tips on myself
