2.2dti fault help required

driving back on a long journey today i had a loss of power and the spanner light come on. i was in 5th doing aprox 60mph came to a slight hill, engine was put under load and loss of power. stopped the car. turned off ignition and left thirty seconds. Started up again this time no light and not in limp mode. however is boosting but now seems a little underpower.
Im currently away from home and do not have much time on my hands to be putting the car in the garage. sugestions on the fault would be a great help.

First ports of call, check for split vacuum pipes/boost pipes if there is nothing give the boost sensor/egr a clean

Heres a pic I like to show DTI owners. It shows all the likely parts that are going to cause you trouble.

NOTE: my blue vacuum pipes are on the right but Vauxhall quickly re-routed them to the left after the heat from the geabox was ruining the solenoids. Here is pic with them off to the left (courtesy of Jonesy):
