To do a full coolant change you'll need to remove the Thermostat, or you could just remove the bottom hose on the Radiator, remove the expansion tank cap, drain, refill, run, and repeat a couple of times. Once your happy your getting clean water refill with Red OAT antifreeze. Sorry not sure how much you'll need for a 1.9 but i'd think at least 3LT's topped up with water.

Is it actually due a change yet?

I thought Vauxhall used long life antifreeze?

5 or 10 yrs spring to mind.

    Someone will probably clarify shortly.

If you want to do a full flush its prob best to disconnect the top and bottom hose's on the radiator and flush the engine and rad separately to avoid any cross-contamination.

10 years im sure like most other cars, Unless you know for sure there is none there test it first it should be fine to -25 leave it well alone.

Better to make a nice cup of tea & grab a packet of dunkers with fire on full blast than be outside in this weather!!

Well recently had the MOT done at Vauxhall and the guy advised to change the coolent.

I am more than happy yo leave it but as the weather is getting colder, I thought I might give it a go so that I dont have any problems, but might leave it now
