    Default Electronic Repairs

After purchasing my Signum I discovered the lock/unlock buttons weren't working on my 2nd key fob. I ordered a new fob on line with the intention of asking Timpsons to duplicate the blade before asking Vauxhall to recode it. Vauxhall promptly told me that they couldn't code fobs and I'd have to order a full key at the cost of £80 or so.
    Then I found an alternative!
3 new fob switches off of ebay for £4 delivered. I took the broken fob along with the 3 new switches to Focus Support Ltd (details on google).....based just inside the Rosyth Dockyard gates. The staff in there were first class. One of the guys soldered the new switches on for me, taking less than 5 mins, for a greatly lesser charge. The key now works perfectly.
This isn't the first time I've used this company......which I must admit I found purely by accident. They deal with all sorts of electronics, industrial and domestic, so if you're having any troubles with blown components, problems with PCBs/key fobs or like myself your soldering skills aren't great I would definately recommend these guys every time and I'm sure they'd appreciate the business.

    I hope this helps someone.

P.S - I dont work for them but think more people should know about them.

How much did they charge you to solder the switches on?

I can't give you an exact price yet as I'm going back to see the fella tomorrow, but to give you an idea, the first time I used them they charged £35 to repair an £800 circuitboard and as I say the fob literally took 5 mins so will be a fraction of that price.
