Default Need Info on Bleeding diesel pump

My signum has got air in the system due to out of fuel i think my son did it but he said he didn't but it was low and my car is parked on quite a steep hill.

Is there any info about on how to bleed/Prime the diesel system.

    Its the 2003 - 2.2 dti model

Its now got fuel, I have tried starting it several times and it will start but cut out after 5 seconds or so.

Then i have to wait about 5 minutes and it will start again but again cut out.

I have thought about just trying to pump the fuel through by keep starting it every 5 minutes and hope it will run eventually but im a bit worried i may damage the fuel pump.

I can't bump it either as its an auto

Any advise would be greatfull as i cant afford to send it to vauxhall

?Did you top up the fuel filter cannister with fresh diesel before screwing back on,if you did'nt then the problem you experienced happens,so allways top up with diesel.

I know that's what it should do...which worries me because that happened on my 3.0CDTI not 2.2DTi!!!! The CDTi has a priming system of its own... The DTI usually doesn't even need 5 cranks...it normally fires right up

I have tried starting my car using this method but still wont start.

Just ended up flattening a brand new battery fully charged

I did have fuel coming through on no4 cylinder.

I can start it for a few seconds every 10 minutes or so then it conks out

    any idea's

Is there a pump i can buy to bleed the diesel through

I thought about one of the bulb hand pumps but the fittings were not the right size to fit on the fuel return hose.

In the haynes manual it does say for the 2.0 and 2.2 ltr diesel engines that a bleed unit KM-948 electic primer or a suitable alternative.
I did search on google but cant find the pump.
