    Default I am really furious!

Yesterday evening the wife wanted to go shopping. We stopped at the M&S store in Newtownabbey to do some shopping and to get a coffee. Came out an hour later to find that some scrote had scuffed the nearside corner of my rear bumper (down to the undercoat) and scuffed the corner of the light cluster as well. I don't think there was any damage to the actual metal work, but I have not had a chance to see it in day light yet. There was a 4x4 parked in the space beside my car when we left it, and the space was empty when I came back and discovered the damage. ******* did not leave a note with details, and the shops CCTV does not film that area of the car park! Some people are complete scumbags!

Gutted,.. had the very same in my black SRI - scraped and scuffed the bumper to white primer and small crack on rear lens. Luckily I spotted a car a week later coming out of a care home with a black scrape on it matching mine.... confronted and he owned up and paid the bill...

£178 for full bumper re-spray which I thought was pretty good and they did a mint job. So shouldn't be too costly to fix

I am going to get a local body shop to have a look this afternoon. He repaired a previous car I had and did a good job for not too much money. Just very angry that some one is so dishonest. I hope the damage to their car is worse than what they did to my Vectra.

Was not a great day yesterday for the old Veccy, the gear knob came off in my hand on the M2 as well. Oh well that's life. I really will have to either glue the knob or get one from Halfords that has a screw that holds it on.

I was sh i ting it as i had a £500 excess i phoned every scrappy i knew and go a new rear light for £50 but couldnt find a bumper so i went down every farm lane i knew and got it so dirty.

Yes I am sure Birchy is right, these shops just can not be bothered to help. Thing generally seem crap at the minute. A week or so agao my 78 year old mother fell and ended up in hospital, but luckily is ok, but a couple of days ago my 85 year old aunt fell and broke her hip. Seems to have also caused her dementia to become much worse. I have been very upset about this, because I actually lived with this aunt off and on during my child hood during perios when both my parents were posted abroad with the army. So really could have done with out this car damage.

I bet their cameras work better if they have a thief running round the car park

I can think of another knob that would be much much worse if it were to come off in your hand so got to look on a brighter side!!!!

they intentionally don't cover the car park so they don't get caught up in things like this.
