17" steel rims to fit Signum 1.9 cdti

This may seam like a stupid question// but do vauxhall make a 17" steel rim I could use to replace the space saver?

I was caught out recently with a blow out whilst towing. The space saver was ok - but I realy needed a rim of similar size to the alloys on the car.

Failing that, does anyone know a sensible place to get hold of a single 17" standard signum alloy please?

I'm not sure they make steel wheels of that size. They may well stop at 16" however you could get an identical wheel from somewhere like Ebay if it's only to be used as a spare. What model do you have?

You'd have to find steel 5x110 17"s and fit some wheel caps. Unfortunately this cannot be taken from Insignia because of screw distance (5x120). U need to seek some aftermarket wheels because as I know there are no Vx originals.

i got a brand new spare steel wheel with brand new tyre out of a vec b from scrappy for £10, 16" but better than that space saver

I didn't think a Signum could take a full sized spare in the tyre well?

Only the hatch and saloon Vectra. IIRC.

Local VX dealer told me the way to go was a 16 inch steel wheel with a non low profile tyre, reckoned that would work out same radius. I had asked about a new 17 inch facelift SRi alloy, came to over £100 for one, just the wheel

Cheers for all the help - i did wonder if vauxhall made a 17" rim to fit a signum - have been searching with no results/ I have a 1.9 cdti Signum on a 56 plate, all standard set up etc. I assume a 16" will fit past the callipers, i'd just have to up the profile to match the other wheels & tyres. Have my eyes on a rim on Flea bay

Greg, how much are you asking for the 17" rim? not sure on the spec of my alloys, i'll have a look 2moro for the PCD sizes etc.

All vec-c/signum wheels are interchangable

All that really matters is the style of wheel (if that bothers you)
