Exclamation Headlight Change for a Vectra B?.

My son has a "v" reg vectra B.He,(or I have),fitted it with an HID system. However,it seems that, because the lense system is of the reflector type, the beam pattern is scattered and he's getting grief from other motorists. Is there any way I can resolve the situation other than the obvious,ie,is there another type of headlight that would fit and not cause problems?.Thank's in advance.FELIXX.

You need to fit an "R" type HID bulb. The H7R has a blackout sticker on the top of the bulb.

    eg - http://www.hids4us.com/index.php?rou...product_id=120

See "What the difference between projector & reflector headlamps e.g. H7 and H7R" section.

    That's of course if the Vec-B takes a H7 bulb - can't remember.

Or you could find some Vec B xenon headlights that came with the CDX and GSi models. They have the projector lenses and could probably be easily modified to take an HID kit...

You could get a set of FK angel eye headlights, they have projector lenses that work well with HIDs

They will do the job, have these in the wifes Laguna (which have Xenons in reflectors from the factory anyway) and they are spot on.

Thank's for that. But tell me,if xenons are not "supposed" to be fitted as OEM in reflector headlights, how do they get round the reflector lens issue?,(well, according to some of the previous posts anyway).FELIXX.
