    Default Head lghts are terrible on my sri 55 plate facelift :-(

    Ive upgraded bulbs a few times and paid upwards of 30£ and the cars behind are still lighting my view :-( Any advice that will still get me through mot please guys. ive heard of HID is it legal and pass mot, also simple to fit without paying to get them aiming right. Thanks in advance

    First of all, are the headlights at the correct height? For unknown reasons when they leave the factory Vauxhall set them too low.

    See Duncan's post for the adjustment you can make.

    The inner screws (looking down through the bonnet slam panel) were the up/down adjusters on my headlights (2006 Vectra). They didn't need much of a turn to make a big adjustment.

    If you go down the HID route, first park your car facing a wall or fence and draw a line of where your beam height is for both headlights. Then strip and fit the HIDs. Then check the beam height once more to make sure it's still in the same place. Adjust if necessary.

    if your going down the hid route which most of us have done this is the place to go

    As everyone above has said - get some hids.Take less than an hour to fit and mine passed its mot friday with 35w 6000k hids fitted

    I did the "Duncan" link then fitted better bulbs, so far, so good.

    Im gonna try this Mod at the weekend as my beam isn't good since the car was lowered.. Might just try it on the 1 position first to see how i get on..

    Cant wait to try it

    I think there at a decent height when i aim it at garage door Big Dave just poor on road. How close to garage, is it just enough to see pattern? Took it in for MOT and the other week and even the tester said there poor but show up just on there testing :-( I want HID but only if i can pass mot and not sure on 35-50w and 4000-8000 ect Also ian not to clever with technical stuff so wouldnt know were to start :-D Is it hard. Thanks for the advice and help. Top site

    Mine passed its mot a few days ago and they didnt even mention anything about the lights

    Hids are really easy to fit and make the world of difference.I can only comment on the 35w kit with 6000k bulbs(slight blue tint) from hids direct as thats what i have fitted but they make the world of difference

    Jesus they do make the diffrence :-D Were do you put the power box and do you need to cut wires ect. There instructions clear iam not too tech, many tools needed? :-)
